Krahn Chemie takes over the business of Dutch distributor, Lapis Minerals & Chemicals
Effective from January 2016, Krahn Chemie GmbH has acquired Dutch specialty distributor, Lapis Minerals & Chemicals BV (Lapis) as part of an asset deal. Founded in 1993, Lapis is focused on the distribution of additives, binders, fillers and pigments to the paint, coating, construction, rubber and adhesives industries to customers in the Benelux region.

The acquisition is in line with Krahn Chemie's strategy to further strengthen its core segments in Europe. The former General Manager of Lapis, Ferry Jacobs, is joining Krahn as Technical Director Construction Chemicals to ensure the smooth transfer of the acquired businesses and to expand Krahn's activities in the construction sector throughout Europe.
